The Honest Conversation About What Could Go Wrong

None of this lands without friction. Schools that adopt AI tools face real questions about data privacy — who owns a child's learning data, and what happens to it? There's also a growing concern about academic dishonesty. When a student submits an essay, did they write it or did they just prompt their way through it?

These aren't small problems. They deserve serious answers, not dismissal.

And then there's the deeper worry: if AI becomes the primary instructor, do we lose something irreplaceable? The teacher who noticed you were gifted at something you didn't know yet. The schools that are getting this right aren't replacing teachers with AI. They're using AI to make teachers more effective — handling the administrative weight, flagging students who need attention, personalizing practice work so classroom time becomes richer.

Think of it like this: a doctor doesn't stop being a doctor because they have an MRI machine. The machine sees things the human eye misses. But the doctor still makes the call, still sits with the patient, still carries the weight of that decision.
